Simon Schieder is a Ph.D. candidate in mathematics at Harvard University. He is interested in algebraic and arithmetic geometry and in geometric representation theory. A native of Germany, Simon received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with highest honors from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, although he spent the majority of his Master’s as a research scholar at UC Berkeley. He recently returned from research visits to the Institute for Mathematical Research (FIM) in Switzerland and the Institute of Advanced Study at Hebrew University in Israel.
