As a 2011 International Fulbright Science & Technology Fellow, his doctoral research explores optimal designs of subsea oil and gas production systems.

Oluwafemi is a Nigerian citizen who graduated summa cum laude from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Lagos. His undergraduate thesis was on Leak Detection and Leakage Control in Liquid Pipelines Using Pressure Transient Analysis. His thesis research determined leak sizes and locations along pipelines using Wave Method of Characteristics as the base. Oluwafemi has co-authored a number of papers on Industrial Engineering. And prior to arriving in the United States to pursue his Ph.D., he worked as a Corrosion Engineer at Deepwater Pipeline Services and as a Mechanical Inspection Engineer at Lafarge WAPCo Nigeria. Oluwafemi’s ambition is to be a consultant in Petroleum Production Engineering. He is a fan of both Classical and Country Music and hopes to listen to more of both in Texas.
