Md. Shamsuzzoha Bayzid is pursuing doctoral research in Computer Sciences at University of Texas at Austin with the support of the International Fulbright Science & Technology Award. His field of research is bioinformatics and computational biology, focused on the phylogenetic tree (also known as evolutionary tree) estimation.

A native of Bangladesh, Md. Shamsuzzoha received both the undergraduate and Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

He worked for two years as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of BUET and taught different undergraduate courses. Prior to his arrival in Texas, Md. Zhamsuzzoah worked for 2 years as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of BUET and taught different undergraduate courses. He also co-authored a number of papers on different fields of computer science.
